Location

The extraction project is located a few kilometers east of the village of Montpellier, in the Outaouais region. This village is located approximately 200 km northwest of Montreal and 100 km northeast of Gatineau and Ottawa.

The site is entirely located on a 305-acre parcel of private land owned by Mr. Déziel, which largely encompasses Lake Lavergne. Of this area, 263 acres are currently leased to ZED Graphite for project-related activities. The project is owned by 14761390 Canada Inc, a company headquartered in Montpellier.

ZED Graphite holds all the mining titles near Lake Lavergne, thereby strengthening its position for the responsible development of this strategic resource.

FAQ

Is the project visible or disruptive to residents?

No. The site is located in a remote mountainous area, well away from any residences. Its naturally recessed position makes it nearly invisible from nearby roads or properties, minimizing visual and noise impacts.

What will happen once operations are completed?

The ZED Graphite site is designed to transition into a resort area. The pits created during operations will naturally fill with water to form a new lake, around which cottages and recreational areas will be developed. This is a long-term project, thoughtfully planned to give the site a second life that benefits the region.

Does the project respect the environment?

Yes. No graphite processing is carried out on site, which significantly limits emissions and the risk of contamination. All phases of the project are designed with respect for the environment, with ongoing studies to assess impacts and incorporate the industry's best practices.

How will citizens be informed about the project's progress?

Transparency and accessibility are at the core of our approach. This website is updated regularly to keep the community informed, and public meetings are planned at various stages of the project to answer questions and gather feedback.

Will there be noise or vibrations?

Graphite extraction will take place at the surface, using modern methods that minimize disturbances. Noise levels will be controlled, and since the site is far from residential areas, no significant impact is expected for residents.

Is the project connected to other controversial companies?

No. ZED Graphite is an independent Quebec-based company. Unlike other projects in the region, we are not affiliated with Lomiko Metals, and our approach is based on transparency, safety, and community involvement.

Is graphite hazardous to health?

No. Natural graphite is non-toxic. Moreover, since no processing is done on-site, there are no chemical emissions or industrial dust to pose a risk to residents.
